“It is good to have an end to journey toward;
but it is the journey that matters, in the end.”
― Ernest Hemingway
So it has officially been 3 weeks since I have arrived in cheery old England and I have to say this has been some of the best weeks of my life so far. I still can't honestly believe that I am here. I keep thinking that I am going to wake up one morning and this will all be a dream. I have already met some amazing people that have been making these past few weeks absolutely memorable. So I know I haven't updated in awhile so lets catch up. Classes started two weeks ago and so far they are going well. I am enjoying my professors and the work doesn't seem to be too bad. I especially love my photography class. Honestly, it isn't even a class for me and that is what I love about it.
I just recently went on a day trip to Chester. I loved the buildings there, they were all made of brick and some of them date back to 2,000 years ago.
I also got my first real "English" Meal of Yorkshire Pudding, Peas, Mash, and Sausage.
And then this past weekend came. I have officially gotten my third stamp on my passport in Dublin, Ireland. So lets just start at the beginning of the story. So Thursday night I boarded a plane at the John Lennon Airport in Liverpool. But I didn't board the plane like I normally do, they do it a little differently here.
and after a 20 minute flight, our feet were finally on Irish soil!

So we headed to the hostel to check in, which actually wasn't that bad. The people that were in the room that I was in were so nice. So the next morning we went on a three hour walking tour of the city. The tour guide that we had was Irish and was hilarious. He was constantly cracking jokes on his country but also being really informative at the same time. He actually stole my camera during the tour and was taking photos of the group as an impression of George Lucas.
Then we made it a point to head to the Guinness Factory and get a fresh one. We went on the tour and learned how it is made and what makes it so special. We also learned how to pour and drink it properly.
Then the day had to come to an end and it ended with a bar crawl through Dublin. It was quite the experience. There was young and old in the group and there were some Australian girls that were just so entertaining. The forth bar we went to ended up being the one from the movie, P.S. I love you. I was fangirling the entire night.
So story time. At the bar above, they had my boyfriend's favorite beer which is Harp. So I decided that I would get a pint and drink it in his honor. So i'm drinking it and we decide to get up and go to another part of the bar, where I proceed to drop my entire beer on the floor. Just my luck, I know. But the night was still worth it even though it was a little chilly.
The on saturday we got up super early to head up to Galway and the Cliffs of Moher for the day. We went on a bus tour that showed us all around and gave us some of the history and fun facts about the area.
This whole area was so beautiful, it is giving the grand canyon a run for its money. Then there is me being an uber nerd and pointing out the rock formation and the cave that was used in Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.
The water there was so blue too. I never saw water this teal. I wish I could have gotten down there because I wanted to put my feet in the ocean and just be able to say that I did that.
But I did sit on the edge of another set of cliffs that were much more stable than the cliffs of moher. It was such a thrill just to sit there. It was such a great experience. I will always remember this trip.
